Program Overview

Duration and Timing

  • Total Duration: 10 hours of training

  • Schedule: Friday and Saturday afternoons, 1 PM to 6 PM CET

Topics Covered

The program covers 6 key topics, each lasting approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Each topic concludes with a challenging case study.

  1. When to suspect and how to diagnose a systemic autoinflammatory disease (SAID) in children and adults

  2. How to use genetic tests wisely while diagnosing SAIDs:

    • Which tests to use

    • How to interpret the results

    • How to deal with VOUS (mosaicism? Ask for biochemical markers?)

    • How to deal with difficult access to genetic testing

  3. Treatment of monogenic SAIDs: cDMARDS or bDMARDs depending on regional availability

  4. Hematopoiesis and innate immune diseases

  5. Pharmacological treatment of PFAPA/SURF: in which patients and which drugs?

  6. Challenging cases: what can we learn?
